Why administer K-OK Kiddie Calmer on an empty stomach?

Being homeopathic, K-OK Kiddie Calmer should be taken on an empty stomach and the child should not eat food for about 15 - 20 minutes on either side of the dose. Administer the remedy either 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after a meal.
